How long have you worked for Leaflike?
I graduated from Chelsea College of Art, studying BA of fine art and I have worked for Leaflike for 1 year.
What is your favourite thing to do in the studio?
I like seeing a concept through to reality, coming up with ideas and being creative for the customers, putting a design together for a moss wall for example.
What has been your best project so far?
I loved Fairmont Windsor Park five star hotel because I worked on every element. We designed and created the hanging florals and foliage, I went on site as part of the team to ensure the installation went well for the customer and we installed the hanging florals by the pool and in the café.
You create moss walls, can you tell me a bit about that?
I come up with a design that best fits with the company needs and environment. I divide and allocate types of moss within the design. Each panel is specifically created to make up the moss wall, they all have to be aligned and match within the pattern to ensure the different types of moss are consistent and the design is flowing.
Which was your best moss wall?
Its hard to choose a venue, Canmoor Interchange London, Ascot in London city, Hurtigruten and even a primary school!
What do you like about Leaflike?
My favourite thing about Leaflike is learning new skills, this summer I have been trained by Tania to make up designer floral displays for customers.
I look after all Leaflike images and post to Instagram creating a storyboard of the work we have done.
I enjoy making the terrariums for customers, with different components and designs, in addition to floral displays and moss walls.
What is your favourite colour and plant?
My favourite colour is green and my favourite plant is a Monstera.
What is on trend currently?
The sustainable trend includes the neutral colour palette. Keeping the quality and standard of premium plants and their care, plus creative requirements with sustainability in mind.
Tell us a bit about yourself?
I enjoy using natural and sustainable materials. We are seeing an increase in recycled materials for planters and plants that are native to the location of the venue. This all matches my personal approach to work and my work ethic, its great to be able to support customers in this way.
